With many fine restaurants in San Francisco to choose from, why do so many people make the 35 minute drive north from San Francisco to the Lark Creek Inn? Because the food there is so good.

The Lark Creek Inn offers upscale, yet down home, American food served in a converted Victorian mansion surrounded by towering redwood trees. The menu changes daily to take advantage of fresh local vegetables, seafood, and meats. Look for local oysters, Caesar salad, grilled double-cut pork chops, oak-roasted Atlantic salmon, grilled ahi tuna, and braised Sonoma lamb shanks. But save room for dessert -- the devil's food cake with chocolate fudge frosting and chocolate chunk ice cream is "to die for."

The Sunday brunch menu is also a treat! The upbeat tempo of the restaurant, The Grove outside for light dining, the outdoor patio for full dining, and a stellar wine list all help to make the Lark Creek Inn a winner.
