Pluses: 5 freshly made Indian breads ($1.95 each), such as naan, kulcha, paratha, chapati, gobhi masala paratha, tawa pudina paratha, tulsi ki naan, khopra masala naan and spring garlic kulcha; menu changes daily offering 3 entrees, 2 vegetarian, raita, Chai tea, lassis; hormone free, soya and corn fed, fresh Petaluma chicken and fresh Niman-Schells' Napa Valley grown leg of lamb are served along with organic vegetables; no freezer or microwave used; every dish is prepared using olive oil; authentic Basmati rice used with all entrees

Minuses: no inside waiting room, if tables are full you will have to put your name on the list and wait outside for a table; limited menu, very small restaurant; no credit cards (cash only), street parking is limited. Seafood (lobster, shrimp, fish) only served on weekend nights.

Although the daily changeable menu is limited to 3 meat and 2 vegetarian entrees, the food is quite fresh and very authentic. For dinner arrive shortly after 5:30 pm opening to secure a table or be prepared to stand outside and wait for a table. Mango lassis are exceptional, tandoori chicken, basmati rice, raita and all breads are special treats!
