Fog City is a good choice close to Fisherman's Wharf strollers. The interior of this Pat Kuleto-designed diner is pretty classic and modern at the same time. There's no formica or plastic, instead there's lots of black leatherette banquettes, shiny chrome fixtures, and polished wood accents. Fog City is the home of big plates and small plates. The eclectic menu is full of tantalizing choices: a cut above burgers, fries and also crab cakes, a quesadilla or stuffed pasilla relleno, a glazed sea bass, cioppino with crab at a bargain price and a delicious half-roasted chicken with a side-order of creamy, mashed potatoes. But the vibrant flavors and nice atmosphere make a visit worthwhile.
