Penni Wisner
Penni (pwisner@sirius.com) has been writing about food and wine for over twenty years: first as the Food and Wine Editor of House & Garden Magazine in New York and then in the California wine industry. She learned wine from the ground up -- first as a cellar rat at Iron Horse Vineyards, then in a round-the-world trip to wine regions, and later as the Vice President of Public Relations for Simi Winery, and Director of Public Relations for Seagram Classics. Penni broadened her consumer products experience as the Public Relations Director of San Francisco-based Williams-Sonoma, Inc., the well-known cataloguer and retailer, from 1991-1992.
Ms. Wisner currently is a San Francisco-based free-lance writer. She has written two cookbooks for Michael Chiarello, chef and partner of Tra Vigne in Napa Valley. The first, Flavored Oils, 50 Recipes for Cooking with Infused Oils was published by Chronicle Books in May 1995. The second, Cooking With Flavored Vinegars, was published in 1996.
