Elaine Sosa Labalme

Elaine, (elaine@roadsage.com), is a former stockbroker who grew weary of going to work at 6 AM. In 1994 she left Wall Street behind and started writing more. Visit her site, RoadSage.com. Focusing on food and travel writing, Elaine has traveled the length and breadth of the U.S., writing about everything from spas in the Southwest to "Friday Lunch" in New Orleans' French Quarter. Having lived in Mexico for a year in the late 80s, our southern neighbor is also a favorite subject. Her work has been published in Diversion, Travel Holiday and Coffee Journal magazines and she is the West Coast correspondent for the Bradmans U.S.A. guidebook.

She lives in Pittsburgh, PA with her husband and six-year-old son, both ideal traveling companions and the source of inspiration for her "Traveling with Kids" column at Sally's Place.
