Janis McLean
Janis McLean keeps busy both inside and outside the kitchen with a burning passion for cooking (and eating!) tasty seasonal food. As US Representative for La Varenne, Janis has worked with Anne Willan since 1993, handling the bookings, marketing and administrative matters for Ecole de Cuisine La Varenne (Burgundy, France). As Sous Chef at "Greenwoods in Cleveland Park", Janis gets to put in plenty of time behind the stove; helping direct the operations of a 90 seat fine dining restaurant. Prior to Greenwoods', Janis spent 5 years under the tutelage of Susan McCreight-Lindeborg, at the Morrison-Clark Inn. Janis a proud member of the International Association of Culinary Professionals (IACP) and is a graduate from L'Academie De Cuisine. She lives in the suburbs of Washington, DC, with her husband, Bruce, and their dog Ursa.
