Michael Kalantarian
Michael
(mk@sonic.net) grew up in Southern California, moved to Alaska, traveled about, and settled in Northern California.
He received a master of arts degree in English and American literature in 1992. Soon after graduating, he found himself catching some of the early waves on the World Wide Web.
During his tenure (1993-95) as managing editor of O'Reilly & Associates' online marketing, the O'Reilly website was voted Best Commercial Site for 1994. Michael moved on to freelance web consulting and worked with such outfits as Fair Isaac, Broderbund, O'Reilly, and AuctioNet. More recent website work includes the following: underthetablebooks.com, rebeccajohnsonart.com, theava.com, leedyart.com, gardenbythesea.org, and skygrooves.com.
He enjoys various things in life: canoeing down a lazy river, through dappled sunlight that makes the water glow milky green; barbecuing dinner at dusk, to the tune of a frog and cricket serenade; observing the Andromeda Galaxy on a dark night, and catching a glimpse of how big and small everything is.
