Jeannette Ferrary
Jeannette (right, with Louise Fiszer on left)(retap1@leland.Stanford.EDU) is the author of many books, including Out of the Kitchen, Jewish Holiday Feasts (Chronicle Books, 1995), Sweet Onions and Sour Cherries (Simon and Schuster), M. F. K. Fisher and Me: A Memoir of Food and Friendship (St. Martins Press) and A Good Day for Soup (Chronicle Books) and A Good Day for Salad (Chronicle Books). As a stringer for the New York Times, she has written widely about food, nutrition, restaurants, trends and personalities. Her food essays, columns and articles have appeared in Bon Appetit, Travel/Holiday, Food and Wine, Country Home Magazine, and she served as restaurant reviewer for the San Francisco Chronicle. She has studied cooking with Simone Beck in Chateau neuf de Grasse, France.
